About This Blog

Question for you… have you ever been to Kansas? Of course you haven’t. It’s a fly-over state. But, people actually live here… many in little towns surrounded by crops and dairy farms, gravel back roads, and thunder storms. There are a couple of cities though- full of great food, culture, music, people, and history: Kansas City is the one I call home.

In case you never make it out, I would love to share with you what a ‘Life in Kansas’ is all about.

My name’s Will, and I live with my wife Melissa and our terrier dog Bonnie in the suburbs.

We’re a young married couple and into:
– Exploring
– Yard Work… yep…
– Beautifying our home
– Making delicious food
– Hosting parties
– Sitting on the deck when it’s warm out
– Traveling
– Asking our dog her thoughts on important life decisions

We are treating the next couple of years as our adventure before we have kids. We try to turn every opportunity into a lasting memory, and my favorites from our ‘Life in Kansas’ end up here. I hope you enjoy.

– Will

  1. Gosh, thanks for stopping by and for the follow, Will! Looking forward to reading your blog.
My husband and I were in KC in April to watch my son compete in a decathlon at KU. We enjoyed our visit very much and hope to get back to watch the Twins play the Royals some day.

    • Paula, thanks for stopping by as well! I hope you enjoyed your time while visiting KU, that’s where I went to school and Lawrence, KS is one of my favorite places.

  2. Wait…a…sec.

I have been to Kansas! 🙂 In fact, I lived there for some time.

I liked it so much it makes me sad when I think of it – because I miss it. 🙂

It is beautiful, and one of those really rare places in the world that might not impact you wildly at first, but if you give it time, it lingers much longer after all the fans for the other states have since gone home.

Here is to “Life in Kansas!” Glad to see someone else who appreciates a state so rare.
